It's a real shame when they tell you that you do have 30 days to pay your bill and we get our bill on the 2nd or 3rd of every month when should be on the first and never is and the late fee is after the 15th, so living pay check to pay check we were going to pay our bill on the following friday which be the 22nd , so the 20th we get a disconnect notice in the mail saying we would be shut off on the 21st not even enuff time for one to pay on a payday, the lady was very rude and said it don't MATTER! FOLKS that's not 30 days either they can not figure 21 days is not 30 days? Some people are having it ruff this time of year, those 8 days unaccounted for would be helpful but I guess Corbin just wants to show there true side of how they feel about the people in there town! KU electric is so much better, and what's up with this power adjustment on my bill every month! Are they not happy with the money they get already and want more? Whenever we go total solar and Corbin utilities wants to buy the electric we don't use, your damn straight they will pay me for a power adjustment! Heck I would rather give it to my neighbors!!! The people lie at the office so it's pretty much shows you can't trust them! And further more 911 call we get charged for is ridiculous!! We don't have a home phone and our cellphones already cover 911 calls so who is getting shafted here!!! Crooked Corbin utilities is who shafts the people here!!!!
Moving less than 5 miles from current residence (and after having service with them for almost 2 years) they are making me pay a new deposit and reconnect fee. Ridiculous!
This is the most pathetic city I've ever lived in. They forced a $600 deposit on us when we moved in. Now with their trash services forced on my family they're trying to find other ways to skim money from my family. Citing telling me I have to have certain size trash cans with lids for a service they're forcing city residents into. Citzens need to and must show up at the next counsel meeting and voice our constitutional rights to not be forced into anything! I don't need this city to dispose of my trash but yet they can continue to charge me for it?
You go to pay the bill, give your name and address. Three times, even spelling it for this lady. I can't find it. Then says "oh give a completely different" not even the same numbers address. No give my address again. Now she's hostile because she couldn't find it. But guess what finally it was right there after I got upset. Is she trying to get people to pay other people's bills? Maybe have competent working there ?!?
Shame that I have to rate Corbin Utilities this high. They don't deserve a 1 star.
