We stayed in the Sheltowee Trace Adventure Resort RV campground for 5 nights. It was a nice level site with very easy, full hook-ups. But I was most impressed with the STAR staff. I had left my trekking poles home. No local store carried them, so I had to make do with a couple souvenir hiking sticks from the park gift shop. The STAR staff sawed them off to fit my height and reattached rubber knobs on the bottoms. The customized sticks worked amazingly well for me. My husband and I were able to hike all over Cumberland Falls Park. The STAR also has nice hiking trails on their property to a waterfall and awesome rock house. I highly recommend the Sheltowee Trace Adventure Resort.
Very friendly and helpful. The camp site was clean, the bathrooms were very nice. Had a great rafting trip, the equipment was clean and the person who dropped us off was friendly and helpful.
My Mom and I stayed in a cozy cabin it was wonderful. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The showers and bathrooms were so very clean and fresh. Will definitely be going again.
Great camping grounds. Cozy cabin had all the comforts of home, with just enough "roughing" it for us. Cozy cabins have AC, ceiling fans, microwave, mini fridge, heater, table lamp, bunk beds, and a full bed. Eliminated need to buy ice every day (yay!). Microwave was convenient for when it rained. 2 Chairs on porch and a picnic table, so we didn't have to pack camp chairs, either. First bundle of fire wood was free. Hinged grill over fire pit for easy cooking. Bathrooms VERY NICE. Reasonable prices on souvenirs and necessities at the store. We'd sit on the porch at the end of the day for Wi-fi and check in with those back home. Very friendly, professional, family run business.
Beautiful place! This is were you go to sign up for rafting down the Cumberland River. It is a blast! I suggest it to everyone who visits! Know though that the rapids are not always the same, and sometimes more dangerous, so be sure to talk to them before making your reservation. And be sure to be there on time early in the morning because they will leave with out you!
