When it comes to BBQ, you really can't beat Smokey's. We have been 4 times now and not a single time has disappointed. The waiting staff is extremely courteous and reasonable prices. I'd recommend the "Spicy Jailbreaker" with homemade fries and a sweet tea. It is our favorite BBQ in the area and with such easy access off US-25/I-75, you should definitely stop by when passing through.
Delicious pilled pork sandwich, coleslaw and sweet potato fries! Hubby had a Brisket sandwich. We stop here whenever we pass through on our Road Trips to Florida or the Carolina's.
First time here. Food was great. Ordered catfish and grilled fresh chicken, pulled pork . Sauce was great for pulled pork (sweet & spicy)..other options available. Catfish was fresh and deep fried. It was delicious! Chicken grilled it was juicy and grilled , was great. Waitress was really friendly and food was fast. Great place to eat!! Are too fast before I could take a pic....sorry. it was that good!!!
We came in with a large group from our church and it was our first time visiting. I thought the place looked great and the atmosphere was really nice. Our service was also really nice. The food was where we had an issue. We had several people that had to send food back and i personally ordered pulled pork and fries and I couldn't even eat the fries they were so hard. They get 3 starts simply because everything else was on point and I hope the food was just a fluke.

We are locals but I am always skeptical of trying new restaurants because they seldom impress me and can be overpriced and overrated. But this joint seemed to have some staying power and I heard some good things about it through word of mouth. That's the thing about real barbeque. It advertises for itself. We popped in for a late lunch last week and i was surprised to see several customers inside. My husband ordered the jailbreaker, one of their best sellers, and i ordered a brisket sandwich. We also tried the fried corn on the cob and sweet potato fries. ALL of these items were outstanding. I sampled several sauces and liked all of them too. The sweet mustard was my favorite. We went back today for lunch, and the place was bursting at the seams with people of all ages. We each ordered something different, and Smokey Bear's failed to disappoint. As I sipped sweet tea and licked my fingers, i said "this is my new favorite restaurant!!" Give it a try!!
